Kalahari Tea World Cup - Official Rules
KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST - SECOND ROUND
TERM:
The Contest starts at 5:00 P.M. EST on June 25, 2010 and ends 5:00 P.M. EST on July 11, 2010.
PRIZES: All other contestants will receive a 5% discount on their next Kalahari Tea purchase just for participating!
ODDS OF WINNING:
Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST:
- In order to participate, first “fan” the Kalahari Tea Fan Page or follow us on Twitter at @KalahariTea.
- Throughout the second round of the tournament, (June 16th-July 11th) select the team who you think will be victorious in their match (16 games over the 16 days). Different from the First Round, you may select a winner of each game in order to maximize your points.
- Write who you think will win each day on our Facebook Wall or @reply Kalahari Tea on Twitter with your choice. A selection must be made before the game you are betting on starts.*
- Correct picks will be given 1 point while incorrect selections will receive 0 points.
- *BONUS POINTS* will be given in the following ways:
- Refer friends to the Kalahari Tea website and receive 1 bonus point each time a friend registers (You must be registered in order to refer friends).
- Correctly guessing the final scores of each game when you make your selections will also get you 1 bonus point.
- At the end of the World Cup Tournament, the individual with the highest total points will win top prize, second individual second prize, and third individual the third prize.
- All participants will at least win a 5% discount on their next Kalahri Tea purchase simply for placing at least one selection! So it's a win-win!!!
*NOTE: Different teams play different days during the Second Round Knockout Stage. Tournament favorites do not play every day so be sure to make your selection based on who is playing that day. Be aware of the time difference as games will be played at 7:00AM EST! It is advised to make your selection the night before! Here is a calendar of all games.
Kalahari Limited is not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects in part or whole, delays in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for any technical or non-technical network, telephonic, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate or partial transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Kalahari Limited on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any web site or any combination thereof. Kalahari Limited is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST, or for mail-in entries that are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or postage-due. All entries become Kalahari Limited's property and will not be returned. Kalahari Limited reserves the right to cancel temporarily or permanently the electronic method of KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST entries if it becomes technically corrupted.
DISQUALIFICATION: All of your entries in this and all other contests sponsored by Kalahari Limited in the past, present, or future, will be automatically disqualified without notice or recourse if you promote the Contest through unsolicited commercial e-mail, multiple repetitive postings to UseNet Newsgroups or even one posting to inappropriate UseNet Newsgroups. Any product returned to Kalahari will result in that entry being disqualified.
All of your entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Kalahari Limited, if you attempt (i) to enter the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST through any means other than as described in these Official Rules; or (ii) to disrupt the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST, circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST. If either of the above occurs, Kalahari Limited has the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention, and to seek damages from you to the fullest extent permitted by law.
ELIGIBILITY: All legal U.S. residents residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older at the closing date of the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST may participate in this KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST, or if you are under 18 years of age, you must have parental/guardian consent to enter the contest. By entering this KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST CONTEST you represent to Kalahari Limited that you are either at least 18 years of age or have consent from a parent/guardian. Employees of Kalahari Limited and its immediate families and members of their households are not eligible to participate in this KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST. By registering to win the prize, the winner grants Kalahari Limited permission to use his/her name (including screen name) and likeness for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). Unaccepted prizes may not be awarded. This KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST is subject to these complete and Official Rules.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners will be determined based on the total points they accumulate during the Second Round Knockout Stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup for the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST through the scoring system explained above. The winner will be notified at the day of the final Group Stage match, and has 48 hours to contact Kalahari Limited regarding their prize. Kalahari Limited reserves the right to modify scheduling of the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST without prior notice. If the judges determine in their sole discretion that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the giveaway or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the giveaway, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue, and/or terminate the giveaway and conduct a random drawing to award prizes using all eligible entries received as of the termination date. Limit one prize per person. Winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility within 3 days of notification attempt. Failure to return the affidavit in the time noted will result in disqualification of the entry and the random selection of an alternate winner. Kalahari Limited may require winners to provide proof that they are the authorized account holders of the e-mail addresses used to enter the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address. Any winner who does not comply with the Official Rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable" will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
NOTIFICATION: Prizewinners will be notified by e-mail, Facebook, or Twitter sent to the e-mail address and/or Facebook or Twitter account in which the contestant played, and Kalahari Limited is under no obligation to notify winners by any means other than e-mail. If a winner's Facebook profile or Twitter account is no longer active, notification will be sent to the last known e-mail address. Kalahari Limited is not responsible for notifications that are misdirected or not received because of e-mail addresses or mailing addresses that are no longer correct. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made during 1 business day from the first notification attempt, such person may be disqualified, with an alternate winner selected. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will result in the awarding of that prize to an alternate winner.
REDEMPTION: Kalahari Limited will deliver the prizes as follows: All Prizes. Each prize will be shipped to the appropriate winner's home address. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed except by Kalahari Limited, who also reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable.
CONDITIONS: By participating in the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST, you agree to release and hold Kalahari Limited and its directors, officers, employees and agents, and all prize suppliers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST or any product purchased, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, whether suffered by you or a third party. This KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Kalahari Limited and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST or these Official Rules. All decisions regarding the KALAHARI TEA WORLD CUP CONTEST, including, but not limited to, selecting winners, will be made by Kalahari Limited, whose decisions shall be final. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes.
